Inside the Gungahlin Crematorium building located on grounds of the Gungahlin Cemetery, you will find a dedicated viewing room, which allows mourners to watch the cremation, participate in ceremonies or say their final goodbyes before the cremation.
Witnessing a cremation can be part of religious or cultural practices, enables people to remain longer with their loved ones or can provide closure for family and friends. Some people find comfort by being there at the commencement of the cremation process, allowing them to say their last farewell.
The Viewing Room can seat up to 25 people and is equipped with cameras that can broadcast and record the process if friends and family are not able to attend. If you would like to see the Viewing Room facilities please let our team know when you book an appointment.
