Your Funeral Director will help your loved ones plan your funeral service in your preferred location but if you have something you would like included in the service or want it hosted in a specific location that reflects you, we encourage you to document this information with your will and discuss your wishes with family and friends.
With recent changes at Canberra Memorial Parks we can now host a range of funeral services that your Funeral Director can book, according to your wishes. These include:
- A dedicated viewing room attached to the Gungahlin Crematorium. The room can seat up to 25 people and allows mourners to watch the cremation and participate in religious ceremonies. Cameras in the viewing room and the cremator room can broadcast and record the process if your loved ones are not able to attend. Families may also hire the room to say their final goodbyes to their loved one before cremation.
- Grave service - we can also facilitate a graveside service for your family and loved ones to attend. This can be after a religious service or in lieu of a church ceremony.
We understand that the topic of end-of-life can be difficult to address with family and friends but consider your planning a gift that you are giving your loved ones to ease their grief and mourning, without having to focus on logistics.
