Burial services

Canberra Memorial Parks offer a wide range of burial options at Gungahlin, Hall and Woden cemeteries, including family estate, headstone, lawn allotment or natural burial. Whether you are planning your own place of rest or that of a loved one, be assured that you will find a peaceful spot where friends and family will want to return to honour and celebrate life in our parks.

As most grave allotments can be dug to double or triple depth many people choose to share their resting place with their family. Explore the range of burial options across Canberra Memorial Parks and book an appointment below if you would like to visit a particular area or discuss burial options with our team.

A burial or the interment of ashes can take place seven days of the week.

Olive Grove

Natural burial

Location: Gungahlin

Natural burials have no memorialisation at the grave location. A small shrub chosen by the family from a list of approved natives can be planted at the grave location by cemetery staff. The intent is for graves to blend into the beautiful surrounding of bushland. By choosing a natural burial, people are choosing a burial method that has a lower environmental impact, allowing the remains to decompose sustainably and return back to nature. See natural burials for more information.
