Christ the Redeemer Mausoleum

Located in the grounds of the Woden Cemetery, Christ the Redeemer is a unique mausoleum surrounded by large, noble trees and has long served the Italian Catholic community who value the historical meaning of mausoleums in Italy, dating back centuries.

The mausoleum for above ground crypts was opened in 2002 and comprises secure internal and external burial crypts and a dedicated chapel area.

Mausoleum crypts

Interment options include family vaults, double crypts, single crypts and columbarium niches. Interment crypts include an inscription, ceramic photo, bronze vase and eternal light.

Columbarium niches are for interment of cremated remains (ashes) and are available for purchase.

Canberra Memorial Parks offer glass-fronted niches with an etched inscription by way of memorial. Family members can place photos and mementos behind the glass along with the urn. Also available are marble panelled niches which include an inscription and ceramic photo.
